Derrick gave my mom her favorite food for her birthday. She was beyond happy since she was hungry today and was actually thinking of asking us to get something for her. But before she could even ask us, Derrick read her mind and bought it for her.
It's funny because I told him to say:
"Happy Birthday, Mrs.Zabala. I bought you chicken and corn. I love you."
but he said it'd be embarrassing so this is what really happened:
Derrick: "Happy birthday, Mr. Zabala, here's some chicken and corn."
Mom: "OH, CHICKEN AND CORN!! I love you, son."
Me: "SAY THE LAST PART! *partly strangling Derrick*"
Derrick: *in crying voice* "I love you too T.T"
